Why Earthnutz Exists

The story behind the brand

A personal mission turned into a high-protein, high-fibre snack built for a healthier crunch.

Please note: Earthnutz products contain peanuts and are not suitable for individuals with peanut allergies.
Founder Abby Singh started Earthnutz after her son developed a severe peanut allergy. A hospital programme later helped reintroduce peanuts — but he had little interest in eating them, sparking an idea: make peanuts familiar and enjoyable again.

That idea grew into Earthnutz — a high-protein, high-fibre snack with a satisfying crunch, a healthier alternative to crisps.

About the Client

A UK food brand built on a personal mission

Earthnutz is a UK-based food brand founded by Abby Singh, spanning eCommerce and in-house manufacturing. As demand grew, Earthnutz needed a system that could scale fast while meeting strict UK food compliance standards.

  • eCommerce presence — a growing storefront via Shopify and Amazon
  • In-house manufacturing — a facility producing allergen-conscious nut products
The Challenge

Growing fast, without a foundation to match

Scaling a UK food brand is a compliance problem as much as a logistics one — every batch traceable, every allergen documented, every recall manageable within hours. Earthnutz faced six challenges.

01

No centralised system

Shopify and manufacturing ran in isolation, with no single source of truth for stock or sales.

02

Zero end-to-end traceability

No reliable way to trace a product from raw material to final sale — a serious regulatory risk.

03

Regulatory compliance pressure

UK food safety law demands meticulous record-keeping, but allergen data, batch records and expiry weren’t tracked systematically.

04

Manual, error-prone inventory

Batch and expiry tracking was manual, risking stock inaccuracies, waste, and compliance gaps.

05

Fragmented visibility

Sales, purchasing and manufacturing data lived in separate places, making real-time decisions nearly impossible.

06

No meaningful reporting

Without structured data, basic questions — like near-expiry stock or true unit cost — went unanswered.

The Solution

A fully integrated ERPNext implementation

We, Invento Software Limited, implemented ERPNext as a single backbone connecting eCommerce, procurement, manufacturing, and inventory.

Unified sales via Shopify integration

Every Shopify order now flows automatically into ERPNext, generating Sales Orders, Invoices, and Delivery Notes in real time.

1Customer places an order on Shopify
2Generates a Sales Order in ERPNext
3Payment upfront — a Sales Invoice is generated
4Fulfilment on Shopify generates a Delivery Note

Structured procurement & supplier management

The buying cycle, from Material Request to Purchase Invoice, is now digitised, with Supplier Quotation Comparison for smarter negotiation.

Controlled manufacturing with full costing

Every product is now defined by a Bill of Materials (BOM), with Work Orders and real-time cost tracking per batch.

Batch & expiry tracking built for food compliance

  • Batch-wise tracking across all stock movements
  • Expiry date management aligned with shelf-life requirements
  • Automated reorder levels prevent stockouts before they happen

Allergen traceability from source to sale

Allergen data is captured at the item level and travels automatically from raw material to delivery note, meeting UK labelling law.
